The order asks customers to limit water use to essential purposes while PAW restores the flow to its system, a press release says.

The order comes on the heals of operational issues at the Silver Spring treatment plant, causing water storage tanks in the community to run low, putting water service and fire protection at risk.

The order covers customers in:

  • Camp Hill Borough
  • East Pennsboro township
  • Fairview Township
  • Hampden Township
  • Newberry Township
  • New Cumberland Borough
  • Lemoyne Borough
  • Lower Allen Township
  • Shiremanstown Borough
  • Silver Spring Township
  • Wormleysburg Borough

Customers will be notified when the release is lifted.
